This scarecrow was inspired by our classroom tarantula, Charlotte. From afar, it might easily be mistaken as a pile of dead leaves, but upon closer look, you can see that it indeed has legs and other spider parts. Also, it's free of plastic! Charlotte is made of chicken wire and tree shoots (those woody-leafy things coming from the ground) from behind the school, which means that once Halloween is done, you can chuck the veg in the rubbish bin guilt-free and add a fancy little extension to your chicken coop just in time for winter.
